Wines that can be drunk easily without food at any time of the day and can be served lightly chilled on a hot summers day. Perfect with chicken, white meats, pasta and fuller flavoured fish dishes.
35. Côtes de Provence 2006 – Château de Roquefort (France) £15.00
A famous area for Rosé which very often produces mediocre wine. However,
by favouring biodynamic/organic principles, Raimon de Villeneuve produces
hedonistic wine. This Rosé is simply heartwarmingly beautiful.
36. Sancerre Rosé 2006 - Domaine Sylvain Bailey (Loire) £19.50
Delicious flavours of wild flowers, delightfully quenching with ripe vibrant
fruits.
37. Fleurie 2006 - Domaine Pardon (Beaujolais) £18.50
The epitome of Gamay. This great vintage adds an extra richness to the wine,
with a full, soothing, velvety finish.
38. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2006 – Taverna Nova (Italy) 13.50
The Roxan winery is situated in the Province of Pescara, on hills sloping
down to the sea and overlooking a beautiful view of the Adriatic and
Mounts Gran Sasso and Majella. A beautiful violet bouquet is followed
by a delicious and gulpable palate packed with juicy concentrated fruits
and almond overtones - great value!
