This section is predominantly oak aged Chardonnays. The oak gives the wine greater depth of flavour and richness. These are definitely food wines and can accompany light meats, such as chicken or veal. With lobster look no further than Bin 34!

28. Meursault 2001 - Domaine Michelot (Burgundy) £29.50

The wines of Bernard Michelot have long been favourites of ours and this 2001

is no exception. A lovely vintage with rich nutty, flavours literally oozing from

the glass. Drinking superbly! – Phil

29. Gewurztraminer ‘Grand Cru Pfingstberg’ 2000 - Domaine Haegelin (Alsace) £23.50

Fabulous rich spicy wine with great depth. Perfect with any spicy food, such as

Thai or Chinese.

30. Chardonnay 2006 - Sandford Estate (Australia) £12.75

Aussie Chardonnays have certainly proved popular in the UK. With their rich,

exotic fruit flavours and crisp acidity it is not really surprising!

31. Macon La Roche Vineuse 2005 - Domaine Olivier Merlin (Burgundy) £16.00

From the outstanding 2005 vintage, Olivier Merlin produces fabulous rich full

flavoured wines that could give Chardonnay a "good name". Excellent.

32. Chardonnay 2003 - Cloudy Bay (New Zealand) £30.00

Almost as rare as "Hens Teeth" - fabulous rich full flavoured wine with depth.

The best Chardonnay in New Zealand. Get in quick, I only have a couple of

cases – Phil

33. Meursault “Les Chevaliers” 1999 - DomaineFichett (Burgundy) £38.00

We only have 1 case of this truly outstanding Meursault. Give yourself

a fabulous treat and buy a bottle, it’s fantastic.

34. Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru “Perrieres” 2001 - DomaineSauzet (Burgundy) £52.00

As you can see from Bin 37 we do like Sauzet’s Pulignys. Well this really

is the big brother. More flavour – greater depth and a finish that goes on

and on. Fabulous.
